In today's scripture we read Romans 1:18-23. God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. The Word of God clearly says that everyone knows there is a God and that His truth is suppressed by the unrighteous. His attributes are known through out the world. I know for me this is so true. I can not look at the sun or a baby being born and deny there is God. I also think we tend to forget how powerful and big He really is. The word says that His attributes are clearly seen. This to me is such a picture of grace because Christ had token that wrath. The wrath that had to poured out because God is perfectly just was poured out on my savior. I pray that we would remember that God's wrath was poured out on Christ on our behalf. May we humble ourselves knowing it was by Christ work alone that we don't have that wrath being poured out on us.
