WHO WE ARE

Our program is a 501C3 NON-PROFIT rescue mission for women who are dying from addiction, or who are seeking a stronger relationship with Jesus. Our Christ-centered discipleship treatment is designed to transform from the inside out! We offer biblical solutions to addiction prevention and recovery, and a life devoted to God.

Jesus Christ is the highest power and hope of the world. Therefore, by deepening our understanding of God through scripture our hearts are transformed forever:

"because what we believe about God will change the way we live"

WHO WE HELP

We accept women only, ages 18+.Though our program is tailored toward women struggling with addiction, we know that the hope of the gospel is sufficient to help homeless, broken, or lost women from all walks of life. We have helped established women with careers, women with families who strive to make ends meet, women who have never worked, and women who have nothing.  Addiction is not a requirement for enrollment: at the end of the day, everyone needs Jesus. We are based in Montgomery County, Indiana, but...

Addiction...

Homelessness...

Brokenness...

Hopelessness...

There is another way.

BECOME A PART OF THE SOLUTION

(According to the CDC)

192 FATAL OVERDOSES A DAY OCCUR IN AMERICA

Because of people like you in support of our ministry, we are able to provide refuge, answers, and hope for women who might otherwise perish. Your monthly donations sustain and enable us to continue providing refuge, resources, and the transforming hope of the gospel message to women who would otherwise perish. Whether $10 a month or $1000, any amount helps...

Addiction is not the problem, but the symptom. The problem is the heart: self worship...a problem we ALL HAVE.

NOT A DISEASE

You will rarely hear the word 'addict' at Through The Gate. This is because in Christ, we are a new creation (2COR5:17).

Scripture teaches that addiction is not a disease, but rather a condition of the heart known as idolatry. Idolatry is a problem that every person struggles with and occurs when we value anything more than God.

This is why our program is able to free women from not just chemical dependency, but mental issues, homelessness, brokenness,  despair and hopelessness. All problems stem from the same core issue of the heart.

The bible has much to say about our condition and even more to say about the solution! Redemption and fullness of life is found in reconciliation with God through a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Our hope is living, supreme, and able to do what we are not!

"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation"
