WHO WE ARE

Our 501C3 NON-PROFIT ministry is a home for women who want help with life issues. Our Christ-centered program is designed to transform from the inside out!  We don't just want to help women fix their marriage, or get sober,  or become self sustaining... we want to give them permanent and lasting hope through a deep longing to follow Jesus and trust God.

WHO WE HELP

We have previously been known for specializing in addiction treatment. But our facility offers so much more. Some of the situations we offer biblical solutions and residency for include:

* Addiction prevention and recovery

* Homelessness and transitional housing

* Re-entry / Life after prison

* Sexual Trauma and Mental Wellness

* Domestic safety

* Hopelessness

* A desire to know God more

We accept adult women only and do not currently house any children in our building. Though our headquarters are based in Montgomery County Indiana, we have partipants from around the country!

BECOME A PART OF THE SOLUTION

(According to the CDC)

192 FATAL OVERDOSES A DAY OCCUR IN AMERICA

Because of people like you in support of our ministry, we are able to provide refuge, answers, and hope for women who might otherwise perish. Your monthly donations sustain and enable us to continue providing refuge, resources, and the transforming hope of the gospel message to women who would otherwise perish. Whether $10 a month or $1000, any amount helps...

Addiction is not the problem, but the symptom. The problem is the heart: self worship...a problem we ALL HAVE.

NOT A DISEASE

You will rarely hear the word 'addict' at Through The Gate. This is because in Christ, we are a new creation (2COR5:17). Scripture teaches that addiction is not a disease, but rather a condition of the heart known as idolatry. Idolatry is a problem that every person struggles with and occurs when we value anything more than God.

This is why our program is able to free women from not just chemical dependency, but mental issues, homelessness, brokenness,  despair and hopelessness. All problems stem from the same core issue of the heart.

The bible has much to say about our condition and even more to say about the solution! Redemption and fullness of life is found in reconciliation with God through a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Our hope is living, supreme, and able to do what we are not!
