*Through The Gate is a TOBACCO FREE campus*
WHO WE ARE
Through The Gate was founded by Steve and Janet Covington in 2014. After volunteering in a women's prison, Steve knew he wanted to help the lost and broken. He wondered why many of them returned after leaving. When they shared their stories, Steve was moved to help them even more.
When a heart condition left him unemployed and with a settlement, the Covington's decided to do just that. They poured themselves into creating a place for the downcast to draw near to God and start a new life.
Our name and logo represent passing from a life of shackles and captivity to a free life in the house of faith.
WHO WE HELP
Our 501C3 NON-PROFIT home is for adult women around the country who want help with life dominating issues, like addiction. Our program is designed to transform from the inside out! Our classes, self studies, and counseling are created to help women get sober, rebuild their lives, reconcile healthy relationships, find peace, hope, and strength in Jesus. Our facility offers biblical solutions for:
* Addiction prevention and recovery
* Re-entry / Life after prison
* Other life dominating issues
We are in Montgomery County Indiana, but welcome women from anywhere in the country.
Through The Gate is a Christ-centered residential program helping women rebuild their lives from addiction or other life dominating issues.
To grow in our capacities to serve the lost and broken, to the glory of God.
THE ADDICTION CONNECTION
We are a part of Dr. Mark Shaw's The Addiction Connection, where biblical counselors and treatment providers can come together to share experiences and resources. Our Director Steve Covington was featured as a guest speaker in a TAC podcast, Click HERE to listen!
