I still remember the day I walked through the doors at Through the Gate. I was tired—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Addiction had taken everything from me. My relationships were broken, my self-worth was gone, and I didn’t believe there was a future for me.
But something about this place felt different. Through the Gate wasn’t just another rehab—it was a Christ-centered home where women like me could find hope, healing, and purpose.
Over the next eight months, I experienced what true recovery looks like. Not just staying sober—but learning who I was in Christ. I took part in Bible studies, counseling, life skills classes, and even learned how to take care of myself again. The staff didn’t just “do their jobs”—they poured into us like family.
There were hard days. Days when I wanted to give up. But the truth of God’s Word, the love of the community, and the structure of the program kept me going.

Today, I’m living free. I have a job, I’m restoring relationships, and most of all—I have peace in my heart. I’m not who I was when I walked in that door. I’m a new creation.
Through the Gate is a Christian rehab for women in Indiana, and it saved my life. And it’s donors—people I’ll probably never meet—who made that possible. Every monthly gift helps provide housing, meals, counseling, and hope to women like me.
If you’ve ever wondered whether your support really makes a difference, I’m living proof that it does.
Through the Gate is more than a place to stay—it’s a faith-based addiction recovery program where women find healing, purpose, and hope in Christ.
